Annual Services Plan

In Canada, public health insurance is available to eligible residents. Canadian citizens and permanent residents can apply for provincial health insurance coverage.

In B.C., public health insurance is called the Medical Services Plan or MSP. It covers the cost of medically-necessary insured doctor services. MSP does not cover the following services:

  • Insurance Forms
  • Transfer of Medical Records
  • Preparation and Communication of Medical Records (for non-insured services)
  • Letter on Behalf of Patient
  • Gathering & Assessment of Immunization History
  • Letter of Medical Advice
  • Travel Cancellation Form
  • School/Camp Form
  • Faxing & Photocopying
  • Chart Review (for non-insured services)
  • Prescription Renewal by Phone
  • Referral Form Requested by Patient
  • Medical Notes (Sickness/Return to Work)
  • Physical Exam Requested by Patient
  • Drivers Physical Exam (yellow form)
  • Maternity Certificate
  • Fitness Club/Weight Loss Form
  • Disability Tax Credit Certificate of Fitness (CRA Form T2201)
  • Occupational Fitness Assessment Form

BeWell Medical Clinic is open and operating under regular business hours. We are continuing to care for our patients by providing virtual appointments.

We are providing Telehealth appointments (e.g. telephone consults or virtual video consults) for all patients. Please call us to book or visit our website to book with your MyHealthAccess account. Telehealth visits can be particularly useful if you have travelled recently, you are self-isolating, you are a high risk patient (i.e. over 70, chronic health issues), have no need for physical examination, or if repeat prescriptions are needed. 

As a precautionary measure, we are ONLY booking appointments in the clinic for patients receiving injections (i.e. Trigger Point Injection therapy, hormone shots, or vitamin shots). If you have a scheduled in-office appointment that has been pre-approved by our team, please plan on keeping this appointment unless you are experiencing symptoms, such as fever, cough, congestion, sore throat, runny nose or shortness of breath. If you are a patient who is experiencing these symptoms, please call or email us for further instruction.

As we all continue to navigate the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), we want you to know that we are doing everything that we can to protect the wellbeing of our BeWell Medical team members, all of our patients and everyone in the communities that we serve.
